How many micron is preferable? (Fuel filter)

Ok, I'm upgrading my fuel system on my 3rd gen. I've been looking at different filters. Now seems like most people run a K&N billet fuel filter. However, I was looking at the Russel fuel filter as anouther choice. Now they bolth come with -6 ends, but the K&N is a 10 micron, and the Russel is a 40 micron. Just how much filtration is 30 microns? Any help into helping me decide would be great. Thanks, CJ

I would be more concerned about the flow rate of the filter. BTW check out the Mecca Filter :

Between the pump and the tank 100 micron. After the pump the smaller the better so 10 micron is ok.
