yep, been doing that for a while. They do however catch on and will limit you. last time I went in, I was asked how many sets of plugs I had recieved from them...I told them that I had no idea. They said "we can only give you so many."

A warranty is exactly what it is. The policy is that they should replace them for two years.

The answer is: "Right, four more."

This must be a special deal with Advanced Auto. I checked at Kragen/Shucks/Checker, and they don't have the same warranty.
I don't see any of their stores located in S. CA. They are mainly in East Coast. The closet one is at Calexico, CA. Adam do you go to that store?

It doesn't appear NGK has an Iridium rotary-specific plug exactly equivalent to the BURs.

Hey, where in Lancaster do you work? I need a set of plugs, but I'd rather buy them from a fellow rotorhead

Just check their Website. The 2 yrs replacement warranty is for regular plugs and cost $4.99 each. The Platium plug cost $11.99 and only get 3 months Limited Warranty. I run platinum plus and I got them for $7.00 each, also they don't really have a store in S. CA so it means nothing to me

might be a good idea to buy 8 plugs at a time, then you cut down on how often you have to go. Sure it's a little more of an initial investment but may save a lot more in the long run.

Also this helps if they don't keep them in stock. . . can't exactly tell them to keep a supply on hand, that you change them every 3k miles!

RX-8 Iridium NGK plugs are RE7AL or RE7A-L for leading and RE9BT or RE9B-T trailing. I'm not sure if the dash is part of the part number. I've asked for RX-8 plugs at a few auto parts stores a while back and haven't been able to find them.

This has nothing to do w/ wasting money on plugs and you know it. Only a lamer keeps returning plugs to keep getting them for free. And you have the nerve to post that dumb **** here and gloat?

Let me guess, you're the type of douche bag that buys a suit at a department store, wears it to a wedding, then returns it the next day, and asks for your money back. Now isn't that right? Got any more stupid comments to make, you cheap ******?

eventhough they don't make "rotary specific" plugs, they do make plugs that work well BR10EIX is what I will be using as soon as my engine is back together.

So everyone is getting free plugs which weren't really defective? That's just wrong.

i don't think it's against defects, but they are supposed to last 2 years. Unless I'm wrong.

Until people abuse it and they change their policy/warranty. Why not just invest in a plug cleaner? If you are really fouling plugs in 2 weeks, it's very doubtful the plugs are spent, just dirty.

I have not purchased plugs from Advanced Auto. That store is about 350 miles from where I live. If there was a store here, I would take advantage of the nice warranty offer.

I don't understand why some of you are jumping on this guy's case about this. He just simpy posted a nice piece of information that some of the members may appriciate. Why hate on the guy if NGK gives a warranty for 2 YEARS, FREE REPLACEMENT! To answer Iceman's questions, yes keep your receipt, and it helps if you keep the boxes that the plugs came with. They've screwed me once and gave me 2 7s and 2 9s (I use all 9s).

I was exaggerating. My car is not a daily driver. My tune is not for daily driving. Race cars need their plugs changed more often than others.

I'll make use of this new tip, just like 98% of the rest who have read this thread

There are many people (RTS3GEN comes to mind) who beat on their cars probably a lot harder than you do and use spark plug cleaners regularly.

I clean them about every other month.

And you know he is beating on his car with several track events per year along with normal driving.
