I was wondering if anyone knows what type of transmission and rear end these top Pro rotary drag racers use.

Marcus Acosta uses the Gforce 2000 tranny with a Mark Williams Modular 9" rear (Gearing Unknown), Siguel uses a Jerico Transmission but I have no clue what rear he is using. Most likely a 40 spline axel 9" rear. The Gforce tranny can stand around 1600 hp!!! and the Jerico is damn close also. Alot of racers use Liberty Transmissions but their dumb asses done have a web site Here are some links.

I heard Acosta will be running one of those retired NHRA pro stock trucks with a 3-rotor and maybe even a 4-rotor. Id say if the rotaries wanna keep up with all these damn V8s 4-rotors will be a must in the future.

The NHRA is the only sanctioning body that does not allow 4-rotors to race.
Their idea of match and fair competition is allowiing twin turbocharged 1500 to 2000 hp V8's run against 500 to 700 hp 4cyl's!
Their idea also of making it even is giving the V8's a 300 lb weight penality as if that's going to make up for the extra 1000 hp they are producing!
