Which is better a Single or a Twin Turbo

Im tryin to see what is better and more effiecnt a single or a twin turbo i am saving to do an engine swap. I will be swaping out the RX-8 engine for the 20b twin turbo, and for the people who have twins or a single who like which set up better.

This is a good question!

But, I know for a fact that single is MUCH LESS complicated as far as the fabrication part is concerned

I would say it kinda depends on what you are looking for powerwise. Whether you want just insane amounts of power or constant and immediate power all the way through the powerband. Irregardless youre going to have tons of power but you could be shooting for four digit numbers or something thats why I asked. For efficiency I would say a single just due to the amount of complication that a twin can bring to a setup however it would be possible to make an efficient twin turbo set up. Either way I hope you have a well stocked bank account when you begin this project because its going to be very expensive.

Yea, I agree with Marbles, you better have a pretty deep pocket. I would would probably go with a larger single, it's less complicated with all the inake tubing and exhaust work. Just thinking about I would say that turbo lag would be around the same depending on the size of turbos.

for a 20b... go single... less problems...less weight(not much)... less piping... the 20b makes more power down low then a ren.... so you'll have decent low down power off boost... plus the extra exhaust flow will spool a bigger turbo faster than a 13b would.
