lost against a highly modded GTR

Yeah my first lost. Looks like i need to get that boost controller fast so i can turn up the boost

1st race i slowed down thinking i jumped but got back on it.
2nd race was good but the gtr up top is just nasty

Said to have 650-700hp on the gtr.

I bet it would be a different story if you were on 30psi.

dam i thought you would have had him. this is why i try and make max hp out of a small turbo to gain tq. there is a 700whp cobra automatic that runs 9's here that i am fairly close with on the highway. that 2j s2000 was an animal didnt know they rolled out like that.

What have you run in the 1/4? No offense or anything but that shift seemed a lil slow which may have cost you a bit. Havent raced a gtr yet but ive kept up with a 640+rwhp 03 cobra with 475rwhp. Actually pulled a fender when i got traction once . Brake boosting would help as well since that thing spools quick. I raced a S4 one with K04s(480awhp) and he pulled like a car or two till i reeled him in and pulled many cars.

GTR weighs 3,850 lbs dry, so figure 4,000 lbs atleast with the driver. With the HP you claim, that car should be trapping 130mph.

So, you're probably pushing 450whp-475whp?

turbo10th, i wish you were in my area we would have a good run. same thing an 03 cobra except with an auto and has a bit over 700whp. what turbo you running btw turbo10th? power under the curve is what seemed to happen in this vid, he did brake boost but once he shifted it fell off. the gtr has an auto like tranny so it loses no momentum on the shift.

IF you had 600 whp, you would have walked him hard.

your in FL. i would bring your car to crispeed and have him tune it. that thing would be in orbit. i wish i had the time to bring my car down to him for tuning. i do my own tuning up here which is pretty good but crispeed knows it all extremely well.

Yea the 03 i raced was a friend and his was a stick(he cant drive it too well which kinda gave me a advantage). I have a 61mm Borg warner extended tip. My best 1/8 was a 6.84@101.9 and the 1/4 was 10.63@128

wow nearly 102 in the 1/8th is moving. my 1/8ths were 98-99mph and 1/4s were 131-132. im was running a 35r at 20psi that day. i am now upgrading to a 6265 billet to get better exhaust flow over the 35r. i want to get up to around 135mph or so which im sure i was close at 22psi with the 35r but it was too aggressive of a tune.

Yea my 1/4 trap speeds arent that high but hp has a role with that my tune is pretty conservative but need to find a new tuner cause PFS isnt doing it for me(not happy with them) so looking at Enzo racing cause i wanna go AEM so i have two step. I was looking at some of the billets myself, but got a 90 gtu that i may put a 3 rotor in since the FD still has a/c p/s interior and crap and dont wanna make that a full out race car, and stuff for the Fc's are cheaper

yea enzo seems pretty good, i actually pmed him myself to get my car tuned. if you plan on heading there this year maybe we can meetup out there, get the cars tuned and have a rx7 vs rx7 run. those are not too common on here.

Yea that would be cool. Need to get my 4 inch exhaust and new fuel rail on first and hopefully get up there in the next couple months.

Something is wrong with your car that day. You shouldnt have been walked like that.

You almost have 1000lbs less than him and almost the same hp.

Do the math lol

The 2jz s2k is a monster though.

That was a slow *** shift. You are getting walked because of that almost entirely.

Yeah in the first one. In the second race I think you would have held him off a little longer if you had nailed that 2-3 shift.
