Big Al: Turbo is a BorgWarner Bullseye S366
oorx7 we normally run slicks, for the Time attack we must run DOT approved tires. for this run we were using Hoosier A6's
the wheels are CCW classics 18/11f and 18/12 rear
Owen, she really didn't "POP" as much as Sizzle...LOL.small oil leak from the engine got on the header.the damage is not that bad at all.it was similar to a grease fire in your kitchen, the grease burns mostly..the new engine harness is being made and we will have her out to paint this week..we should be up and running in 3-4 weeks

Thanks Eric,
Would you mind telling me the width of tire you ran respectively?
Brandon
BTW, I am impressed by the overall fit and finish of this car, VERY NICE work!

I like how it sounds just like my RX-3... Well except it revs considerably faster and slightly angrier.
Are Cantilever slicks legal in that series? might pick up some time depending on the weight of the car.

we run leaded 116 VP blue, pre mix. Limiting factor is HEAT as you guys already know. Oil temps are the most difficult to control, water a close second.
we have 3 oil coolers on jacks car, and it is barely enough to maintain the power we put out.

Fast!!!Congrats on the Time!
Fast car and fast driver...when you are at the edge, you are dancing through the corners, I likened it to skiing real fast, I enjoyed watching Jack 's style. To make one observation with respect to technique, he could maybe pick up a second or two if he heel toed in the braking zones. However, I do know from experience, when you are flat out and going deep in a braking zone you are often standing on the brakes just to get your car slow enough to turn in without blowing the corner.

loved the video and +1 on the hood.
just wondering, this car is still running power steering? and i could only spot 2 oil coolers wheres the 3rd hiding?? is it set up as a V? or behind the intake cone

Im suprised you are having trouble with oil temps. I thought normally running 2 large coolers, would be able to handle all the abuse. As well as a vented hood, I woild expect to see normal racing temps, but nothing out of the ordinary

Look at the video when he's on the track! He's geared to be on boost instantly. In one lap he'll generate an insane amount of heat but imagine being out there all day! 13b N/A rotaries use 2 HUGE oil coolers and its just enough, he's making way more power than N/A race cars and producing way more heat.

Yeah... especially since a lot of the days you have to race in the summer down here it's 100 degrees or more!!! I have an FD racecar with a similar setup and trust me... heat is always a challenge. With a stock type setup and 100 degree heat... forget about it.

I can understand the higher temps, thats just part of racing. But I would think there is a optimal setup where you would be able to control the heat to some extent. Perhaps coated internals, whatever.

Put someone in the seat that can stay on the go pedal longer and heat becomes a challenge in any high HP race car.
Regarding this drivers driving style who gives a ****. He just set a track record so if he wants to drive around in reverse or do 360s down the straight I don't care if he's heal toeing or getting a smooth turn in. The clock doesn't lie.
BTW congrats to the Twins Turbo team on creating this monster and making us all proud

Wonderful, I can't imagine what that car would do in the hands of seasoned pro.
Congrats!
