March SCCA Fastrack rules
The SCCA publishes the latest monthly rules changes in a document called Fastrack. Here is an excert from the Production Car section, where various people are asking for changes in their racing class, (the persons name), and the offical SCCA response to the change request :
Production
1. EP Allow the Caterham limited prep engine rules (Fox/Leigh). The current specifications fit the performance parameters.
2. EP Reclassify the Elva Courier to FP (Prather/Kraftson). The car is properly classified.
3. EP Allow the Porsche 944 increased preparation (Sanda). We have recently made changes to the car. We wish to monitor the results.
4. EP Adjust the weight of the MR2 (Ligon). We will monitor the cars performance.
5. EP Reclassify the Volvo 142 to FP (Broring). We have recently made changes to the car and wish to monitor the results.
6. FP Allow alternate front and rear brakes on the VW Scirocco (Coffin). We will continue to monitor the cars performance.
7. FP Please remove your heads from your asses (Johnson). Inconsistent with class philosophy.
8. FP Reduce the weight of the Miata by 50 lbs (Prather). The car is properly specified.
9. GP Reduce the weight of the Mini Cooper to 2,050 lbs (Waterhouse). The car is properly classified. We will monitor the cars
performance as it is developed.
10. HP Allow a 7 inch wheel on the VW (Barrack). The car is properly specified.
Item 7 is hillarious. I can't believe the SCCA actually published that one.

I just went and downloaded my own copy off fasttrack this morning (got the email from SCCA) and as of 10am that entry is still in there. That is just brilliant!
Thanks for pointing that out, I would have missed it.

Everone is getting a good laugh out of the response. I am curious as hell who the Johnson is altho I have a clue that it might be a senior guy who has not been around for a couple years. I am intentionally leaving out his first name.
It fits with some of the other Fastrack responses that show up.
