Check out the new Diaso D962R. The R stands for Rotary!

Will also take a 13B with turbo. 1000lb track monster.

The D62 chassis is built by Dave Klem of Fabcar. Motor is built by Rotorsports Racing. Chris Diasio will be testing his D962R in a few weeks @ Putnam Park www.putnampark.com
For comparison, the fastest club racing sports cars turn 1:18 to 1:19 laps @ Putnam Park. The 1100-cc Yamaha powered D962 (non rotary) turned 1:13s to 1:14s. The D962R should turn 1:11s to 1:12s (Chris or Rick Diasio driving--they own the track...literally).
I pitched the idea of running a Mazda 787B body. Chris asked me to throw $100,000 at him, and he'd be glad to re-body the chassis for me LOL
FWIW, Chris' customers aren't really interested in wheel-to-wheel racing. Most have high-end sports car that they were tracking. Instead of tearing up their Vipers, NSXes, etc. they opted for a much faster, lighter track car.
The D962R is price point competitive @ $55,000 for as much performance potential as you get with that car (the sequential shifter's the sh*t!)! No production sports can hope to keep up with 1100 lbs and 250 hp. Just not possible from a physics standpoint.
The sweet part of those of us in Indiana, is that we can store our D962Rs at the track garage. During Putnam Park track days, you show up, have fun. There's full tech support too I think Chris also goes through a leasing company to rent the D962R for track days.
If I had the scratch, I'd sign up for a D962R!!!

Here's another competitor in that class.
Radical Sports Cars
Uses Kawasaki or Suzuki power. I prefer the open top, but it would be cool to have a PP 13b in there.
