I can vouch for the fluids coming out of the car; thankfully somebody had spray and wipes at my next pit stop. :-)

My FC (turbo) should hit the dyno some time this week hopefully... but I think the Miata will be the enduro car if I keep doing them. I drove all 4 hours with only fuel stops. Managed 6th of 13 in E3. First ever enduro, first race in the Miata with some decent power and a reasonable weight. I can tell you a cool shirt is worth its weight in gold if you're going for a long stint -- I turned mine on around 10:45am and it helped keep me going until the end.

Was nice to finally meet you!

Were we dumping gas from the start?

I didn't notice the fuel odor in my first stint and my BIL didn't mention it. It didn't drip when we were working on it in the paddock. Still trying to figure out what happened there.

It was good meeting you as well.

We will keep plugging away at sorting the car.

Did you get any video from the race?

Why would the fuel tank build pressure to slam the vent shut?

What do you mean exactly? What type of cell/vent do you have? The ball is held down by gravity, if the car were to turn over then the ball moves with gravity and blocks the vent opening preventing fuel from spilling out in an upside down car.

Does your vent valve look like this? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ABT-TF350-8/

On the male end of that AN fitting you attach a female AN fitting fitted to a hose and vent the tank. Sometimes if you don't run the hose up high enough before venting fuel can move around and up and out the hose. I run my hose up the rear roll cage.

I meant stuck closed. The fuel tank was pressurized. I think it has to do with the location of the valve. Maybe I will try running it up higher in the car. After thinking about it overnight, I think fuel sloshed in the hose and slammed the ball shut. then the tank built pressure from exhaust heat and couldn't vent.

could be a few things, but the stock FC tank vent goes all the way up to the charcoal canister in the engine bay, if you plug that vent it does weird things

I decided we will just run the center link and get rid of the outside links. But luckily my car has even camber side to side with just the center link.

I figure ill do a bunch of chassis stiffening at the same time. Such as tieing the roll cage into the body and filling the frame rails up with foam etc....

I'm waiting on 2013 tire points before making any decisions on rear camber adjusters. I have figured out an initially labor intensive 0 point (for us) adjustment using solid/spherical bushings which we take points for already. If the tire points drop enough we may just purchase the center link or the outer adjusters

Does yours break up from being pig rich near the top end? I had to pull so much fuel out up top to get it to not choke itself with fuel....but we ended up gaining quite a bit of power that way.

I suspect so. That's why the Fuel Pressure Regulator needs to be installed. A bit more timing would probably help as well

Depends on HP/Wt. Between 19.5:1 - 10.25:1 contact Greg for PT classing. After that it gets into the ST classes

http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/p...ring_rules.pdf

http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/Super-Touring.pdf

Beware!!!! Greg thinks the rotary is some magic engine and does not tend to get very favorable classing
