Changing rear end gears for better 60 ft.

Hello all.

I am thinking of changing the rear end gear ratio from 4.30 to 3.90. I can't seem to get my 60 ft down to where I want because I have to shift 1-2 at around 40-45 ft from the line. Launching the car off the 2 step at 7800. My best 60ft to date is a 1.61 with VHT prepped track and MT ET streets (26 by 10.5). Unprepped tracks the 60 ft is between 1.71-1.79. The car rolls out pretty good. Best of 10.91 at 130 at 20.8 psi of boost on 93 and 600cc meth.

My goal for the car is to get 1st gear to roll out past the 60 ft mark.

I have tried other lauch RPMs from 6K-8K and 7800 did the best on the VHT prepped track.

What do you drag racers think about this?
