Because he likes drifting! I will be doing more race/time trial orriented racing, but I will still continue to pratice and enjoy drifting. Just because it has become a pain, because alot of people are jumping on the bandwagon, its still fun. Thats the key word FUN! It can become a good asset for car control as well. Not all professional drivers can drift

Any reasons why your not doing wheel to wheel racing? You've got the cage, the wheels, the horsepower...why not set it up for a NASA race program?.

Or even something like B or A Street Prepared Auto-X?
Whats the point of this comment? He enjoys drifting so he drifts.

well I beleive here is is point...just because he has a cage, wheels, and power, why does that mean that he should do some sort of grip driving? Why not drag racing? He picked drifting, he excells in it, and again enjoys what he is doing. I do find that a lot of grip track guys for some reason cant stand the new drifting fad. I do see boswoj's point completely, but come on, its just another form of motorsports. I dont beleive its that they intentionally hate drifting, its has manily to do with the import culture, and where it is at the persent time. Young, Irresponsible kids, with no concern for there well being or others.
And thats where drifting will tie into the situation. Before you had all the kids hyped up on the import go fast drag party. Tons of young kids lining up on public roads. Now with drifting you will have the same kids, driving wreckless on the streets. I think for alot of the guys that are where they are today, they learned on the streets, but were such a small, organized group, they knew standards and limits (not that I condone learning on the street), but now you will have large groups of kids, with little track avaiablity tossing there cars on the streets. This is what i beleive to some extent Boswoj is trying to hint (correct me if Im wrong)
Overall Im just happy to see a fellow FCer, thrashing his beautiful FC. Soon I will be joining him (last week in the middleeast)

to all the grip guys.... come out and check out us that prefer drifting... www.justdrift.com www.driftday.com www.driftinvite.com www.driftfest.com http://www.driftingchampionship.com/

also, i don't ONLY drift my car... i'm heading to wsir horse thief mile next weekend for a grip/drift session... running some RA-1's, about to smoke some cats on the corners...

as for hp, i don't really have much... basically stock, so i can pound the hell out of it everytime i go to the track... only put down 210 to the wheels...

i did start on the streets, with a couple friends, but realized it wasn't worth it when my friend stuff'd his car into a curb really bad.. so when i moved to cali it was all track for me.. and so it'll stay like that.. I DON'T SUGGEST GOING ON THE STREETS.... KEEP IT ON THE TRACK, whatever type of racing you're going to be doing..

oddp, it's too bad the video's don't show different runs from the day... you'd see that we do get wheel to wheel.. but we're going sideways around 70 mph... we should be getting set up with some more camera's so i can start editing some vid again...

Oh, and I don't post all that much any more here because 1) I'm too busy out racing (and working) on the car, and 2) I get tired of the immature drifter dweebs constantly whining about how little attention and respect that they get. If you are ever in a store where some little kid is saying "mommy look, mommy look, mommy look, mommy look at me, mommy look, mommy look, mommy look at me, mommy look, mommy look .... " then you will have some idea how you sound to most of the actual RACERS who are here trying to collect technical information.

Good luck with your drifting, I don't wish you any ill will, but perhaps it would be nice to have a DRIFT section so you can talk to other like minded attention starved trend followers without having to deal with us "haters".

wicked nice pics, love the car and the "driven hard" look. it sure was pretty but that makes it look even better now knowing what it once looked like ha, I have the high res pic you pm'd me and I printed it out on 8x10 glossy and framed it up on my wall, looks amazing, thanks!

love the te37's, what size are they?
how does your car do against the oh-so-common 240's?
looks like youre having fun, props for enjoying your car on the track!

te's are 17x10+18 front and 18x10.5+15 rear both with spacers.. but i don't think it's pictured as this... i think those are the 18x9.5's i have too many wheels!

the car does well against the 240's... i'm currently leading the: http://www.driftingchampionship.com/

I'm currently putting the car down again, going with a 3071 turbo, new i/c setup, inj, fuel management, replacing all bushings, wheels bearings, changing out rubber links with hym's joints, changing up the body kit to bn sport T-I new over fenders for the rear, and new front fenders as well... basically going over the whole car... it could still run as it is... but i want to step it up, and make it ready to compete at a higher level.

thanks for the support!

here's some ninja pics of what's to come...

I'll never understand the people who spend their time "hating" the people who are actually on topic and posting on a RACING forum, and would like to minimize the non-racing content (i.e. posing. Oops, I meant drifting.) There is absolutely NO reason why you guys can't set up your own section where you can brown tongue each other about your rad music and how cool and not like everybody else you are. Oh, thats right - nobody would read it, so you need to post over here where you will get some attention - even if it is negative. So I second the motion; get over it and move on.

Well here, I drift, I dont think I listen to "rad" music. I probably listen to everything that YOU listen to and more. I play the violin, attend college, fix jet engines for the military, and am getting married next spring (which will put a damper on alot of my car activites) I do however see where you are coming from, there are alot of kids, who beleive thats what drifting is. And it does seem that everyday, we get a dozen or so topics, on how to drift, or I drifted into a pole at 80, what did i do wrong? So yes i can agree with you there. But all this attitude is just childish. I mean I dont like NASCAR, but I dont go around bashing it. AGAIN drifting is new sport, it is alot of fun, and yes it does attract young wild teens and early 20 males (some females) Just give it 10 years. Alot of the BS will be gone, and it will have changed completely. Boosted, just keep rocking the FC, love the car, cant wait to see the updates
