Tightens the rear a bit much and/or may causing binding basically the car just feels like **** overall versus just plain good stockers. The only place you want them is in the diff and even then car feels better with mazda comps they just wear too fast. It's also tuff to keep the alignment true especially with slicks. Too many heavy hits to the adj bolts cause them to move changing the alignment but I think this would also be a problem with anything that's solid.
All the track/autox cars I've purchased over the years that had these bushings the owners either went back to stock/partially stock or wished they'd never installed them. However I've heard others that like them but I don't think they knew any better.

Fritz, based on your experience do you prefer high durometer bushings over solid bushings for the differential? Do you feel they give better feed back? Do they have a high wear out rate?
blackey, thats a wicked car your buliding!

Damn nice RX7 you have there. Must be a riot on track.
I used a soda blaster and an orbital when I was prepping my S2000. I blew everything out with an air gun and vacuumed before paint. I thought I had all the baking soda out of the chassis until the first track day. This was my dash after just towing the car to the track:
I could hardly breath during my first session in the car.

Nothing yet. Were fabbing the rollcage to tie in the front shock towers and the bumper, and adding a dual master cylinder to the brakes. Once we're done with that I'm going to figure out the floorboards. I could straighten them out and them cover them with a piece of diamond plate, or I can cut them out and fab in a new piece of steel.

Your car is looking great. I will post some pics when mine is done.
You should come down to Portland intl raceway for the scca rose cup weekend. I will take my 3 rotor turbo rx7 and there will be another ls7 fd, not to mention a lot of fast competition in the form of porsches and trans am cars.

Hey Bill,
Red is good...real race cars are red!
As for power, it's better to start safe and tweak upward rather than the alternative...one of our fellow competitors lost several (2+) motors on the dyno last year.
Now slap some numbers on your car and bring it to Laguna next week.
