Dave, are you signed up for time trial, or Group 4? Ordinarily you probably cannot just give your spot to somebody, but I have a hook up, so I am sure we can, I'll call you monday. Hold that spot . Thanks, and again, I am sorry about the engine. Carl

I'm signed up for TTA which runs in Group 4. There is no difference except that you have a transponder on your car and compete for FTD.
I'll wait to hear from you before cancelling...as long as it's before Friday.

My wife is a princess, she regularly opens our house to tuners(3-4 days at a time), and wandering rotar-heads. Not to mention she can change a tire pretty quick when the chips are down Of course the only signifigant off I ever had was at ~80mph at T'hill with her in the car... Got a point by from one of those slow *** ZO6 things, and then he shuts the door on me, it was either broadside him, or go straight off, so off we went, fortunately my Video camera batteries died, so the profanities were not recorded.

I think with a mild steel cage in the car and those wide slicks that is a good weight. Gut the doors and add a lexan rear hatch to easily shave off 100lbs.
It is a race car now anyway. No need for real glass.

Agreed, also out comes the dash/electric mirrors/ stock wiring, I think I can get 150+ out anyway, it's so fast, I doubt that weight will really play much of a roll at my poser t6o weight, and it is not so heavy that handling suffers. FWIW, my wheels weigh 13lbs, and my slicks 18lbs. Cage is heavy, Fuel system is very heavy, BIG FMIC, and steel piping. Lots of Fiberglass, it all adds up. BTW, I am taking Dave's spot, so Iwill be at Infineon both days. If you are still holding that other Sunday spot, LMK. Carl

Dave's vert is a pig.... his taste in music is questionable, and it may be time to stab the 20B in that car....
Carl- The Sunday spot I can't use... bachelor party in Vegas takes priority . If I can make sure it goes to you... then that would be ok by me.
BTW- I ripped the transmission sheet metal mounting point that is tack welded to my transmission tunnel clean off... it is still bolted to my trans mount! Lovely....
I think the car is making some power.... and my baby MIG has a dead wire feed! I need to hustle to get my junk ready for Aug. 6th.
call me about the spot Wednesday night. I have the MILF over tonight.... I plan to be a little busy.

Well, thanks to Dave, (rxheven, for giving up his spot) I will be running my car this weekend @Infineon. Another Dave, Dave Brown, Pole sitter/winner of the San Jose Grand Prix USTCC race (and one of the fastest GTA qualifiyers @ the GP) will be helping me with car set-up, along with Alan Sensier of Opak/Spoon Racing. Hopefully Dave will also be doing a little coaching in the future. Thanks to Alan Sensier particularly, Edmund, and all the guys at Opak/Spoon Racing for the help getting this car ready. Hopefully this car can take its place in the integration of Sport Compact car racing, and NASA in the near future. The car is just one example of what you can do with a vision, some time, dedication to the sport, and a little fabrication. As most of you know the car is built for Super Unlimited, and will hopefully be an inspiration to the RX community, and the Sport Compact community, that a competitive car can be built on a budget for NASA SU racing. Thanks also to all the people in the RX7 Community for helping me/tolerating me along the way to this weekend. The idea here, is you have a place to race whatever you can dream up, NASA Super Unlimited, Thanks to Jerry Kunzman, and everyone at NASA for giving us a place to race our dreams. Best Regards, and hope to see you all at Infineon next weekend, Carl Byck
