The mazda ladder system is unique and one of the only ways for non-millionaire, non-racing names to move up into more prominent pro racing. I think it is truly something special and one of the reasons I love racing mazdas.
This sport is full of rich guys whom buy their way into a seat. Some are good some are not so good. But it is an expensive sport, and one that would not exist at all without capitalism and rich folks.....

Yes, I'm well aware of those points. By gentlemen drivers I mean those seat buyers who only do 1-2 pro races a year and need to be saddled with 2-3 regular pro's. These are typically CEO's looking for bragging rights.

What I found really funny about the speedsource guys and the sahney racing team, was that when i was there this weekend and asked about what porting template or style they were using and which rotor irons they were running, they basically had no clue what i was talking about. I guess they were just pit crew or something, but I know if I was working around that kind of stuff I would know or at least find out. Any of you guys know that info?

Which is in fact a white lie to prop up the Renesis. There may be some Renny components in it but very few. From the previous ALMS rotary entry to the Rolex GT car they use the 20b as the foundation . In ALMS they had Carlos Lopez, SpeedSource, Mandeville, and Ianetti's input. Now many of then engines are purchased from SpeedSource.

I didn't watch the program because i was there lol. I looked at the engine and the stamping on the block says 13b, thats why I was confused when it said 20b on the speedsource webite. I guess its like how they say a 4 rotor is a 26b.
