Good GOD what a bunch of BS.
My only experience with them, a customer brought me their flywheel and clutch setup about 3 or 4 years ago to install into a 2nd gen NA. I bolt it all in and the clutch won't release at all, as if I'm trying to get into gear without touching the pedal.
Took it back apart and found that part of the ACT pressureplate was rubbing/binding on the SR flywheel. Since we know ACT plates work perfectly on stock flywheels, and all OTHER aftermarket flywheels, we can deduce that the problem lies with the SR flywheel itself.
I wound up having to grind the flywheel in 3 spots to clear the springs on the pressureplate. Obviously I had to do the R&R job twice, but only got paid for doing it once.
I have read of several others having this issue with the SR flywheel as well.
Damn, and people on this forum try to act like I am screwing people by building budget rebuilds with used housings (and them knowing that up front) meanwhile there is **** like this going on.

Bumping this up since I hope no one else has to get taken by Ray like I did. IF you call him 680rwhp12A, post his response to the painted red PPF....I'm sure he'll have a great excuse for us. Bad thing is, think of his mind set if he had gotten away with it. What dick and he deserves any and all bad karma he gets.

A number of years ago, he was one of the few guys drag racing a FD. He was one of the "professionals" and had lots of magazine coverage.
He then decided to retire the FD and build a RX-8 to race. Strangely...I never saw an RX-8 built by him. So either he didn't have the money to build a RX-8, or he decided against doing so (as racing is expensive).

I don't know Ray Lockheed (sp?) personally but HAVE had him recommended to me by someone I consider very knowledgeable. If all this is true, it sounds like a once-good man went slightly south on us.

Hmmm.......now I'm concerned. I had to get a replacement friction disc about a month ago for my SR flywheel, so I picked up a high flow fuel pump also. Since they look the same, he could have easily sold me the less expensive std. flow pump.

Thanks Guys! i'm new to the FD scene (about 2 years) and up in canada, everything is mail order, so i had just come accross his website and was going to order a bunch of stuff because it seemed on the level.
+1 for Goodfella's and for the community. Keep us updated if he "Re-brands" in the near future.

Rich, you remember my post about his Differential mount set that is relabled the "SR Motorsports drag launch kit" and marked up 200 dollars over Mazdatrix.
Bullshit. They didn't even return my emails or phone calls about it. I'll never do buisness with them again and recommend anyone else not to do buisness with them either.

You know what's funny is that I have a bunch of pictures I took of a real MazdaSpeed powerplant frame that I took just because of this thread. Yeah, that one they're selling, not so much legit.
