Yet another idle problem - warm engine
Yes, I have done a search, but the only person with a similar problem had a solution which isn't going to work for me - cutting the 4 wires - which was already done on mine during initial installation. Anyway, here it is. Cold startup is fine, & I have a nice steady 850rpm idle. Monitoring the water temps, it's all good until the instant the temp registers 89 degrees. That's when the rpm starts hunting between 1k-2krpm. Shortly after, the fans come on & the instant the rpms decrease to 88 degrees, the idle goes back to normal. Twiddling the idle set & bleed screws while the idle is hunting has absolutely no effect. Bleed screw is half turn out from fully closed.
As for the rest of the setup, the ISC is disconnected, no air pump, the 02 is disabled in the PFC commander. XS T04E single turbo with 550/1300 injectors.
Please help, this is driving me crazy.
Chris.

If all the automatic idle controls are disabled as you said, I do not believe it can RPM HUNT as you mentioned. Hunting means something is being changed by the ECU.
Go back and verify that all is setup as you think it is.

It's fixed, I hope it doesn't rear it's ugly head again from another angle. The AWS was still connected though I don't know why. Shoulda been disconnected along w/the ISC since I'm single turbo w/all emissions & unnecessary stuff disconnected & blocked off. Guess I had reconnected it in error when I last took off the UIM.
Hey Chuck, thanks for the replies.
