Will The Datalogit Change The 7 Back To Twins From Single
HEY guys i was reading that you should make sure that you change the setting from twins to single or single to twins when you swap them out, well my problem is, i had a PFC tuned for sinlge FC from ap engineering and we were able to dump the base map in, but its still running crazy and when i press on the gas all i get is pop pop nothing else while the car is at idle, so my ? is when we dump the base map in does it auto set back to twins or do we have to use the datalogit to switch it back to twins, thanks for looking guys

The only thing that might have been different, the SEQ TURBO funtion might have been turned off if they were using the PFC for boost control.
But this function only controls running the turbos a seq as compared to non-seq.
This would not cause popping. Dumping a complete should reset everything to the new map.
Find yourself someone locally who knows the PFC. I hope you have a COMMANDER for it.

He's trying to use an AP engineering PFC for an S5 FC on an FD. The maps fuel and timing maps are pretty different from what I have seen. I'm not even sure you can use the AP one on an FD.

Oh Ok Got You
Im Going To Totally Reset The Pfc First To See If That Works I Was Told That The Only Thing That They Did At Ap Engineering Was Change The Fuel Cut To Ignition Cut That Was It, But I Dont Know, I Thought That When You Drop In A Base Map You Reset It Then, But I See That I Have To Physically Reset It Right?

I'd think the problem has something to do with how the MAP sensor is read. The FC PowerFC is rare and more valuable than a FD PowerFC so why don't you just sell or trade for the right one.

If he's using a stock FD map sensor thats not the problem. I have a AP PFC on my FC using FD map sensor and air intake temp sensor. Assuming the correct PIM setting is selected.
