what to do?
I have 93 r1 that has nothing done to it at all. I want to start building it. It has 22000 orig miles on it and I have drove it stock for a year now. I would like to make sure that I do this right but I know that I will have to upgrade the inj. sooner or later so my question is should I buy the PFC now and use the stock parameters and tune as I go or should I get to the point that I have to go with the larger inj. and buy it then. I thought it would be easier if I bought it now but I would like someone elses opinion. I ordered the Coolcharge II from pettit along with their intake system, hks exhuast, air pump elim. kit, and I have done most of the reliabilty mods. I also have a wideband on order for my a/f monitoring. Let me know what you think. Should I have went with a FMIC?

Get the PFC now, it's a good idea. You'll also want the datalogit (available from RP at www.rx7.com), although it's on back order. If you don't get a PFC now, you'll likely need a boost controller to keep boost at the stock 10 psi for the stock ecu.
Nothing wrong with an SMIC, especially if you ever plan to track the car (BeaverRun!). However, the CCII is a little pricy when purchased brand new. An intercooler is a great item to pick up used at half the price of new.
Which wideband are you getting?
