everything went fine, I changed lag to +.04. only noticve a stumble once, and it was slight. car runs significantly richer though. Probably not related, but the detonation I was seeing at low rom and high boost weas bad enough. Today while testing, and saw not the usualy one high spike, but a slew of high readings,45 knock readings above normal (normal peak fo rme is 70s) , knock readings was 116. It jsut went crazy at 3800 rpm and maybe five lbs of boost. First question, is that harmful seeeing it is such low rpm and boost. Anohter not, right before that, the idle went to ****, about 9 merc' on vacuum gauge. It was idling well(still shitty, but oh well) then I got off highway, and boom, idle barely staying on. After that, was when i saw the crazy knock readings.
I am just abou to say **** it, asn ship teh ******* thing to KD rotary for a ported engine, but anyone have any ideas before I get into it?
THanks

Sounds like a classic case of blown engine...but...check EVERYTHING else out first. Make sure the vacuum line didn't come off the MAP sensor etc...there are lots of vacuum lines down there by the injectors. Perhaps one is still off or you hooked them up wrong? Are you even still sequential? That detonation (well, the PFC's "knock" reading) is pretty high, but I've seen worse on other people's cars with no apparent damage.

nope no popping at all. Right now, I am thinking it was just eth PFC settling down from being reset with battery off. See, I had the problem with idle when I plugged the lines from airpump when I remeoved it,. Everyone said, to rip eveything out and block them off. That is what I did, but I can't gt the car to idle. it was idleing arounf 13mmhg, an dliek ****. but thtne after some highway driving, it seetled to 9mmhg an dcar woudl barely stay alive. After I noticed that on the idle, back on the highway I saw the crazy knock readings.
I am going to check all vacuum lines this morning, do a compression test, etc/

Last week my car started idling like crap and the vacuum went from 18 to 12. Started checking everthing that has to do with idle. When I pulled the leading plugs I discovered they were black and wet, but the trailing were fine. I installed new leading plugs but nothing changed.
I have a Crane HI-6R and just before last week I had removed my J&S system. While the engine was running, I disconnected the Crane and nothing changed. It should have! Checking where I had to insert a 3" jumper wire into the ignitor input for my shift light when removing the J&S, revead that one of the female spade connectors was too lose. This loose connection was causing my engine to run on only the trailing plugs.
I fixed it and instantly my idle and vacuum went back to normal.
You never know where a simple problem may exist!!
