Super Rich Idle, Stock Maps
My car is a 93, streetported. setup is single turbo. walbro pump, fuel pressure regulator, stock injectors, and no cats.
I havent gotten the power fc tuned yet since im still saving for the injectors.
But my problem is for some reason at idle my car is smoking...and it smells like fuel. I just had the motor rebuilt and it doesnt smell sweet like coolant. or really stinky like a blown turbo. It smells like a whole lot of gas. Right now the stock maps are loaded.
My Inj duty around 1,000 rpm is around 8%. My engine builder said it seems a little high... You guys got any ideas? How do i just adjust the amount of fuel that goes in at idle?

Hooray For Boobies!!!
Mine sits at about 6%-7% at 900rpm but my AFR is 11.5:1 (yes rich) and it smells like fuel, probably very close to yours.
Go to the Map Trace screen and watch the highlighted cells you're idling in. Then switch back to the fuel injection map and start lowering the number in those cells. Watch the WideBand 02 reading slowly go up tell a desired fuel ratio.

Yes, I think you need to cut those wires, but don't quote me on that. My car had this done when I bought it and I've never looked into that.
The injection map screen is under the settings tab and should be the first one down. Hit back until you see a monitor tab, settings tab and ETC tab. Choose settings. Then injection. Look to the cells that were highlighted in the Map Trace mode under the monitor settion.
You need a WideBand 02, but taking fuel out of the idle is fairly safe. You'll be playing with probably 4 cells in vacuum around the 1000 rpm range. Somewhere around N3-N5, P3-P5 (those are off the top of my head, I'd have to look at my PFC to qoute for sure the cell numbers).

Mine was rich at idle with the stock map & fuel system according to my wideband. I dropped the idle cells down to the point that changes no longer made a difference (regardless of what the IPW says the PFC locks you out at a point). After that I pulled the injector lag back to 0.71 when I got a 14.3-14.8:1 idle. Of course anytime you mess with the injector lag the rest of the map will probably be lean and require a re-tune so I knocked that out.

Well i went home and took a look at the mapping as you suggested. Hmm i was looking at the map tracer and idle is around N02, and P6. And it sits there pretty solid. So the numbers were around 120. and smoking during idle. So i ended up turning down N02,P5 and N02,P6 down to around 98. And it idles solid. like surprized me it wasnt goin up and down it was pinned pretty solid at 900 rpm. It sounded alot better. There were tiny bits of smoke but if the wind was blowin you wouldnt be able to see it. Still a little stinky tho, but i guess thats just how rotarys are.
Oh yeha Inj Duty was around 4.8-5.4%
I also just bought a Borla Xr1 muffler to quiet things down a little.
