Power FC SPOauto (Stephen), how is the XS engineering PFC working
#2
Its going great. To be honest I've only got one real good race with it because I've had little misc probs (not computer related) like vacume lines and such. The car is waayyy faster than before but I dont know if its because of the tuning or that I'm running higher boost. I guess I could say it due to tuning since without the tuning I wouldnt have turned up the boost.
I'll have all my little bugs worked out by the 26th so you'll be able to check it out then. I think for $150 its definatly worth it and I would reccomend it to anyone.
What all mods do you have???

did you send your;s out or have it dyno tuned?
Also, do you think tuning is necessary for full exhaust (Midpipe)and intake? i have added some fuel in the mid rpm range via the pim volt menu. Is this sufficient? What about timing?

Stephen,
Here's my list:
M2 intake, M2 med IC, Ceramic coated downpipe, resonated midpipe, PFS cat-back, hks twin ignition, 9's all around, magnecor wires ,and the PFC. Other mods that don't effect the air fuel combination.
What O2 reading are you seeing at wot?

Yea, I figured its been so damn long people would have forgot about it!!!! If I'd know how long it was going to take to get the air duct welded I would have waited about telling people about it. Our welder couldnt weld the real thin alum we are using for the air duct and after attempt to try alum kits and such on the welder we broke down and bought a new top of the line Lincoln Elec that cost $4K for Brians shop. I think were going to get the air duct finished VERY soon and the kit at that point will be complete. I've been driving with it on my car for a couple months now with no air duct at all and cant wait to install that duct and tell everyone how it does. The IC is called the BNR Supercooler and I'll be posting about it in the 3rd Gen section when its done so stay tuned!!!!
Tim - You have pretty much the same mods as me except I dont have the hks twin. My 02 value goes all over the place but it never drops below about .89 somtimes it hits 1.00 around the transition area but normally mid .95's or so. He said they used a actuall dyno tuned map that was very fine tuned off a car that had the same mods as us but then added fuel to help compensate for the every car is different senerio.
He told me if I wanted to fine tune the fuel on the dyno it would prob be less than a hour of dyno time.
I mailed mine to xs for $150.
I'll post them pretty soon so people can compare it to the base map, to be honest I dont know how different it is.
Later,
STEPHEN
