smog check advice...
in case you don't know this by now:
I went to 3 different smog stations and none of them would do a smog check for me since they couldn't find my check engine light. The last place I went to the guy told me to pull the gauge cluster apart to replace the check engine light bulb...well I finally went home and popped the oem ecu back in and voila!
So for those of you that need to do a smog check, put your oem ecu back in before you go. I was lucky enough to be there while they were checking, otherwise they would've failled me. peace

Didn't you read the manual, it states that the check engine light will be disabled with the pfc. Thats why there isn't a check engine light when you strip off the solenoids and emissions stuff. By law the check engine light have to come on with the key on and go off after the engine starts, if not you wont pass the visual part of the test.

That is one of the main reasons I bought the PFC, so when smog time comes I can just pull it out, swap in the stock ECU, put all the cats back on and go test. The PFC still gives you a check engine light if there is a code that is thrown correct?
