small trouble with the power fc
hi all,
i'm a noob here and i just want to start off by saying that i don't drive a rx-7.
i have a honda civic........... before the flaming starts..........
i just got a power fc and commander. i have a fully built motor and soon will be pushing around 350-400 whp, hopefully. any way, i have a prob w/ my pfc. when i go into boost, about 7psi, it starts to encounter a fuel cut type symptom. i know your setups are a little different, but i was wondering if anyone has some info they would like to share w/ me. everything else works great on the pfc, i just have this one problem.
thanks in advance,
-andy

If you do not set the boost control properly, it can cause fuel cut when it thinks you are over boosting. This is more of a problem if using a stand alone boost controller. This is the only boost function that causes fuel cut.
There is also a RPM set value for fuel cut but this is not your listed problem.

i tried the boost settings in the commander, but it did not help at all. there is three settings on mine...goes like this:
boost settings in mmHg-------->next is a reference number that is adjustable from 40 to 90-----------> lastly, the number 255, which is not adjustable.
i talked to ari at rx7.com, but he doesn't really do hondas. and i tried calling xs engineering but they said if i didn't buy it from them then they can't answer any of my q's.
by the way, in my commander manual, it says not to adjust anything in the "boost" settings.
thanks
