How do I reset the PowerFC? will a intialization effect the stock Base maps?

 

You can use the built in data init function ([etc] -> [all data init.]). I'm not 100% sure, but i believe that this is a complete reset (chuck?), which means it'd nuke any map changes. The manual (you DID read it, didn't you?) says "Restores all data to factory default settings".

So, unless you've backed up any changes to either a spreadsheet or using a datalogit, be careful

 

Thanks, I did read it but I wasnt sure if resseting it would scratch the base maps...
