Re-scaling a GM 3bar map to use an Apex'i 3bar sensor
I'm currently attempting to run an Apexi/Denso 3bar map sensor in conjuction with BDC's 850/1600 Half-bridgeport map, which is configured for a GM 3bar MAP sensor (I have the Apexi/denso map sensor selected in settings 3 with the datalogger). The car will start and idle fine but I'm fairly certain that the using the denso sensor on this map is causing less than ideal running conditions (although I'm no expert and it could just be in my head).
So my questions are; would runing the Apexi sensor on a map designed for a GM sensor cause less than ideal results? If so, how would I re-scale my map in order to fix the discrepancies? And lastly, if it is generally considered to be too much of a PITA to rescale the map, does anyone else have a good 850/1600 Half-bridge basemap that I could use?
thanks in advance guys.

The two sensors may read slightly different MAP values depending on what altitude the calibrations were for and a number of other little factors. The factory ECU corrects for changes in barometric pressure; the PFC (and every standalone I've seen) doesn't. Problems with MAP sensor calibrations show up the most when you go from the factory FD MAP sensor calibration (which is off from the start) to some other sensor and calibration.
Yet I think any tuning issues you run into could easily be a result of your engine not being set up exactly like the engine that BDC tuned for that map. Different levels of porting can change the vacuum levels at idle and the engine efficiency at certain levels of rpm. Fuel injector flow rates differ slightly, atmospheric conditions could be different, etc. You're just going to have to start with that map and tune from there.

Second question's answer is it's a moot point.
Third question, yes it's a real pain in the rear to rescale an entire map based on a MAP sensor "range" change. You'd have to do all four maps - Inj Base, IGL, IGT, and Base Map.
If the car is running funky it'll more have to do with Inj/Base Map stuff rather than map sensor scaling (assuming you've already plugged in the proper scale/offset values for the Apex'i sensor).

Yeah you need to change the scale and offset in the sensor selection screen to the one you're running. If you're using the GM selected option with the apexi sensor it won't read right.
Even if you have or do address this issue, its still important to realize another persons map is not ideal for your car. It can be used as a starting point or a reference to compare to, but it is very dangerous to just load a map and start boosting on it.
