Exclamation Power FC Plugs Help

I have recently bought a power fc off ebay, the serial number on the unit is - PFC fd3s5 010-0363, The holes on the new unit are completely different to the plugs on the old ecu???? Is there a wiring harness for this unit or is this the wrong one for my car?

sounds like you have a PFC for a different car...they make them for all kind of Hondas, Nissans, ect. They also make one for the Turbo 2. Sounds like you have the wrong one

Nope that serial number is for an fd3s... It should just plug and play... Unless..... What year is your FD. If it is a 92-95 all should be plug and play, if it is a 96-99 it is different.

If it is a 92-95. What kind of ecu was in the car before?

I just purchased an FD, I believe the number 010-0363 is different from mine. (I'm at school and can't say for sure). YOu probably bought one for the newer model FDs. The PFC I bought specifically said FD3s 1993-1995 #***-**** <- cant remember the model number.

If you do a search, you can find threads with the correct model number (i've seen them)

^^^ I mistyped... it should read "I just purchased a PFC" not a FD

Thumbs up Pfc

Yep i think that your right after doing a bit more homework, i know believe that there are 3 versions of the 3rd generation upto 11/95, 12/95 to 11/98 and 98 onwards, i have only gone and bought the 95 to 98 version of the PFC, didnt realise

will have to now sell this again on ebay and bite the bullet and just go for a new one, damm what an expensive mistake to make

I believe that's for a '96+ FD - they did a major change in the wiring harness in '96 in Japan, and the '96+ PowerFC's will NOT work on a US car.

The "FD3S5" part of the serial is I believe a 96-98 FD.

I have a PFC FD3S5 #010-0602 and it is made for the 96-98 it's a version FD3S (IV) and has 13B-REW on the box.

They work on the older fd with a conversion plug. The plug has 3 "banks" to the 1 large plug to your car.
