Power fc death
I was driving this morning, pouring rain with headlights, fog light, wipers, rear wiper and defrost on. When i switched defrost off, the car died. The monitor would show nothing but apex-i on screen. I put my stock ecu in and it started right up. I check all fuses, all are fine. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Ok i got it home and reinstalled the power fc. It starts right back up. Does the power fc have a fail safe? I unhooked the battery, before installing the stock back in, maybe it needs to sit longer? I dont know what fixed it, the time unplugged? I dont know if it has memory that needed to be erased. Oh such is life. Im just glad its not burnt up. But i am surely gonna carry the stock one in one of the bins..

I would moreso think that your voltage dropped too low with all your accessories on - if the ECU (any ECU, really) isn't getting enough voltage, it will flip out.
You may be due for a charging system diagnostic/tuneup.

Yep, second that.
The charging system on my car (2G) is just enough to opperate headlights and a few other small acc. The rear defroster takes a lot of amperage and usually knocks me below 12V with headlights and the fan on.
And my 24" subs with NOS pull alot of charge.
