PFC map help with tuning settings.
Need help from the experts in pointing out what's wrong with this map, I get some abnormally high knock readings etc.
When i deccelerate, the knock levels rise considerably for a split second
Point out anything you think may be off
here's my setup
-Stock port/engine
-T04E 57 trim, .60 comp/.82 exh
-9 Heat range spark plugs all 4 leading and trailing BUREQ9EP (may have the part # wrong)
-greddy 2 row fmic
-hks manifold
-hks downpipe
-hks wastegate
-hks Twin Power
-550 Primaries/1300Secondaries
-Cosmo/HKS 255 Fuel Pump
-Midpipe (No cat)
-RB Dual Exhaust
-Apex Power FC
-Apex Boost Control solenoid
-Greddy Pulleys (AirPump Removed)
-Stock sensors, acv, egr, etc

For N10-N20 and P01-P10 where the timing values are greater than 38 reduce them to 38 and it should eliminate most of it, Leading and Trailing both. Although high knock values under deccel, such as right when you let off, are normal with the stock map, no need to worry.

on "settings 5" do I need to adjust the injector lag time since i am using 1300cc now instead of 850cc? the Power FC manual mentions something about it but I don't know how to do the calculations for the pulse correction.
Here's what it says currenty:
front primary injectors 0.00
front secondary 0.40
rear primary injectors 0.00
rear secondary 0.40
Just to make sure, anything in the highlighted areas with values greater than 38, change them to 38 right?

I don't know the lag time on 1300cc injectors, maybe 0.87, but I know a lag time of 0.40 is kinda high. Take the lag of the 1300cc's, say it is 0.87 for example and subtract 0.77 from it and input that into the secondary lag times. So you would have 0.40 instead of 0.10.
And yes those highlighted cells are correct. Just make sure NOT to change the values that are below 38.

For my old 1200ccs, I used a lag of .10 .
About changing the upper right quadrant of you timing maps to 38. That is for IGL only. For IGT, you adjust the values to retain the proper timing split.
I assume that you do not have a DL, since you are not doing it the easy way by attaching the dat file.

Is the secondary lag time a constant? Is it always -.77 from primary?

Actually I do have a Datalogit but a friend's using it.. so for IGT I would change as much as i decrease the IGL? (if i decrease 10 on IGL, decrease 10 on IGT?
Here's the .Dat file, I figured it'd be easier to see with screen caps
Thanks for all your guys' help so far, I appreciate it a lot!

Not to Highjack, but why does his FC Box Custom have the Anti-Lag and mine doesnt.
I have the Black Box one.
EDIT:
Nevermind I just switched mine to the older style box and thows setting are there, I wonder why they removed it.
Any how FREE BUMP

Chuck is saying the lag he used for the 1200cc he has is actually 0.87. 0.87(1200cc)-0.77(850cc)=0.10. Which is what you would put into the secondary injector settings, where you at this time have 0.40. I know yours are 1300cc but 0.10 should work fine, if you just want to make it different to make you feel better put 0.12.

NeedFD - looks like you did a pretty good job with your leading ignition map, I put up my version of your tune, with your version edited a little bit, leading and trailing. I think it will probably work good for your setup. sometimes simpler is better...
That being said, you should upgrade your FC Edit version. heres a link...

1.3 liter V8 eater,
Tried the map out, works pretty good, knock is at good levels, smooth driveability and no hesitation. Even at half throttle and full throttle, i did not see knock rising too much, Thanks!!
Also thanks for the latest version of the FC-edit !
