No you are not necessarily OK just because you don't see 100. The PFC handbook suggests below 60 is OK but its your car. You can't even try to reduce the knock unless you know the source. For starters tighten the bolt holding the sensor to the housing. If it is loose it will give bad readings.

can you tell me where the bolt is that holds it to the housing, I bought the car with the PFC already on and tuned. Thanks

and if not, do you have any idea as to a reference I can use to figure it out?

It's documented in the factory service manual.

But take the air extension elbow off and look above the front housing trailing spark plug hole. If you can feel around in there, you will feel a rather large 24 mm sized sensor housing. That's the knock sensor.

Your high knock readings couldbe due to a loose knock sensor, causing higher than actual readings. I think pomanferrari or someone posted about his fix. He had high readings before he torqued down and glued the knock sensor inplace and now his readings are somewhere between 20 and 40(i think). Search it int here somewhere.

FWIW, I've been experimenting with my WB and tuning my car's afr's to 10.8-11.4 and my knock readings are below 32 at WOT.

I say, buy one of these http://wbo2.com/ & one of these http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/.

I've read that the stock knock sensor isn't located in the best of locations, is that true? Can you move/upgrade the sensor itself, or is that foolish?

It's true.
The stock knock sensor is on the front rotor housing. We never really know what's going on with the rear rotor....

I'm not sure about the location being poor, when I trashed the rear apex seals on detonation the knock sensor went crazy high!

Racing fuel for knocking fds yes or no

I have knock on a mildly modded fd dp,mp,cb,powerfc, nonseq, conefilter k'n.

Its always on load like the other fella said.

Does anyone like the idea of mixing high octane racing fuel with normal pump gas 50/50 does this reduce knock, anyone try this idea yet.
