PFC AP engineering confusion help please!

Hey guys, so I bought an AP engineering model PFC and I've finally installed it on my big turbo Rx7 build. I bought the setup second hand and I'm having some confusion. I was included a banzai racing S4 patch harness with Gm 3 bar map sensor and harness. I purchased an FD IAT as well brand new via banzai racing. The ecu plugs into the harness and the harness plugs into the factory harness no problem. I'm having some confusion as to whether or not I'm supposed to use the banzai harness adapter? Should I have an AP engineering specific harness instead? Do I splice in the map sensor harness into where the factory pressure sensor is? Am I supposed to buy the apexi specific harness adapter and then splice the map sensor into that? I'm having conflicting information between Apexi's website and Banzai's. Thanks!

Of course there is conflicting information, we do not sell AP products and they did not sell ours.

You have to use our adapter, AP does not support the S4, which I am assuming you have based off your sig and the fact that you say you have our S4 harness. If you have a GM 3 bar, it should have come with our adapter unless you are trying to cobble together a "kit".

Why not start with what car you have? Then post pics of the parts you have. You are going to need a datalogit to change the map sensor settings to run the GM 3 bar.

I highly appreciate the quick response, good to know that there's still technical support for the PFC through you guys. Sorry my original post was a bit frantic haha.
Ignore my sig, that was my old NA GXL.

I have an 87 Turbo2 I bought with a blown motor, so I'm essentially starting from scratch. I had Angel motorsports build me an engine (s4 t2 rotating assembly with s5 housings) so it has 0 miles on it. I have a BW s360 single turbo with 1000/2200 injectors on full function engineering rails. I have an AP engineering power FC with the s4 banzai adapter harness. A GM 3 bar map sensor with harness pigtail ONLY, I don't know where the red and green wires terminate(into factory harness). I purchased an FD IAT sensor and plug and play harness via you guys. (I bought ecu, adapter harness, and map sensor w/harness second hand which I was told was straight from your kit minus the AP PFC) essentially my main concern is to have the map sensor wired in correctly. Do I splice in the red and green wires into the oem pressure sensor harness? Or do I buy the apexi 3 pin harness and run that straight to the ecu?

I have my tuner coming to my garage to setup a base map / break in map but I don't want to waste his time(or my money) unless I know the cars wired up and setup properly.

Besides having to tighten down some intercooler piping and map sensor wiring, everything in the engine bay is done. Just need to figure out this ecu / wiring harness scenario. Again I really appreciate this

We never supply the sensor with a pigtail, it always has an adapter to make it plug and play. I suggest that you buy that as there is no telling what map sensor you have. APEXi Power FC Adapter Kit (86-88 RX-7)

You need to follow our instructions regarding the FRT and 3F wiring. You do not need to modify your trailing coil but you do need to cut the 2B (ECU SIDE) wire on our adapter as this is the RPM signal for the NON-AP PFC.

This is the only picture I have. You can kind of see the little plastic baggy that says gm 3 bar etcetc. I'll just order a new one through you guys to stay on the safe side....

I'm to cut the 2B ecu side wire and leave it unterminated? Obviously covering the exposed wires. And yup I've read splicing the FRT wire into 3F

Going off your instructions I'm still supposed to connect the SS wire, COR wire, and KS correct? This was another piece of confusion.

If you want to have speed and Knock readings the SS & KS need to be hooked up, but they make no difference in getting the car to run.

The COR is the Circuit Opening Relay, this is required to have the fuel pump run unless you have rewired it to run continuously for some unknown reason.
