noob question on running power fc first time

right now im building my motor and getting my twins converted to non-sequential. i am going to be running 1300cc secondary and a supra fuel pump. my question is when i start the car for the first time it has to be with the power fc cause of the injectors. i do not have the base map so i'm not sure what to do. do i upload a base map or something and like how do i do that.

my mods go as follows incase somone has a base map i could use
-street port
-550 primary 1300 secondary
-xspower intercooler w/ duct
-downpipe
-hi flow cat
-hks dual intake
-air pump removal
-non-sequential twins
-supra tt fuel pump
-no a/c

thanks any help will be appreciated

Re-intialize the powerFC, the basemap is loaded into it automatically.

And you could start the car with the 1300cc secondaries without the powerFC, as the secondaries don't do anything in idle and cruise below 4500RPMs I believe.

Do a search on this forum for the PFC manual and read it cover to cover, search for answers to your question on this forum, then buy Chuck's "how to" tuning documents and a datalogit and you'll be fine. Otherwise, find someone that can setup the PFC for you.

There is so much "how to" on this forum that you will be well served to do alot of reading here.

Damn, you need a Datalogit. I would run the base map. But if we could look at your map and get an accurate reading of what you're trying to run, we could tell you yay or nay.

okay let me try to get this straight. i did all my reading and i came across that i need that 350 dollar datalogit. i saw this website through one of the threads. http://opus.bloomcounty.org/~patrick/pfc/
i want to use the base mods map since on the previous thread i read this is the best break in map even though it tends to run rich. i am going to run 550 primaries and 1300 secondaries. please correct me if i wrong but for the base mod map all i would have to do is copy the inj, igl, and igt tables and then go to settings 5 and then put 550 and then 1300 for secondaries. or is there something i am over looking. please i need help i dont want to blow my motor because of something stupid like this. and this is just a map i need to break the car in because i plan to get the thing tuned by steve kan after.

ANY MAP IS OK FOR BREAKING IN, IDLE, AND CRUISING!
It is only when getting on boost that you have to have the correct map for the boost area. If you are afraid that you might boost while breaking in the engine, set you the limiter to 4000 rpm.

You can use the COMMANDER to set up your injectors, up to a max size of 1500cc.
Re-initialize your map and then setup your injectors as per the manual.

With the COMMANDER, you can tune idle and cruise without the DL or wideband.
That is assuming that you know what you are trying to do.
For proper boost tuning, you will need the DATALOGIT, a wideband O2 sensor, and my tuning notes; or pay Steve or another tuner to tune your engine.

If you find one of the sites where a few maps are listed in txt format, compare their boost timing to the timing in your map.

i dissagree that any map is good for a break in. just for the fact that he has the 850's they can be trouble some for an idle and just plain driving. EjCabrera you have inline resistors to those 850's right??? are you using the kg primary rail? tell me some more im interested!

You need to go back a read his post: 500 primary and 1300 secondary injectors.
Only you mentioned 850s.

You need to re-read my post also about a breakin map.

^^^ sorry about that i was reading two treads in two different windows and mixed matched setups... your right about using any map for the break in. the primaries will be doing all your fueling needs since you wont be running the car up high. secondaries mainly kick on during boost or when you get a load.
