lil' help with them maps
OKay so for the last couple of days i've been working on my maps and today i went out and attempted to do my afrs... well it seems like i have way too much fuel, i'm getting like 12.70 -12.10 at idle. my played with the inj map a bit lowering to like 0.971 = -3.1% ??? i then write-all and stop restart my watch and still the same afrs?!?!?!?!... what percent do you guys think i'd need to lower it? Also what do you think about my timing maps? they are conservative. Also my Inj map is at 1.00 everywhere.

I searced this forum and the third hit was https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...&highlight=850 which tells you what to do.
Did you even read the hits? Similar info can be also found in the 3rd gen and single turbo forums.

As you know the PFC will not let you go below some minimum injector base map time for some areas. That is why you can not make a fuel correction and run re-calc to lower the affected areas and then save it.
Thus the only way to fool the PFC when running large primary injectors is to run negative lag which affects fuel delivery without trying to rewrite the base map.
Also running a lower or standard base fuel pressure helps compared to running higher than stock base fuel pressure.
If people can't tune their idle with the correct facts, that is not my problem.

Also in setting 3 where you can do inj adjustments wouldn't it be good for people running large injectors to turn their 1000 and maybe 2000 to say.. 50% ??? wouldn't this help lean out the car at those rpms? and help it run smoother? If yes and you wanted to just lower your 1000rpms to 50% would you put 50% in 1000 and in 4.5V ? the datalogit readme doesn't explain the relationship at all.

Telling the PFC that the injector is bigger than it really is will also lean it out.
You have to plug and play until you can get your 850 primaries only leaned out enough of idle tuning.

okay so I played around with the settings of the primaries starting at 64.7 (850 size) and went down to 60 then 55 and it seemed to get worse/stay the same, car would start, when rpms fell the car would die. so i decided to go the other way... at 75 the car would start and stay on but very rough idle.... so i took it to 80 which caused it to get better. I decided to also change some of the inj adjust in setting 3. i put 1.0v at 50 and i put 1000 and 2000 rpms at 50. with this and my injectors set to 80 the car idles pretty darn good with a afr of 12.5-12.9 yeh its a lil low but i can't get any better then that. :/

okay got a new problem... I started tuning w/ .7bar (10psi) about, my afrs are 12.8 so i've been trying to richen the maps alot. to get to 11.5ish. all was going well going 5% at a time about. at about 20% increase I'm running into stumbling problems and I can't figure the transition out, and i've been playin w/ it for quite along time... before stumbling happened the transition was set at 30% and .900. Now i'm not sure what to do w/ this transition. should i go up w/ both? down w/ both? one up? one down?

850's and 1600's, what are you shooting for? I've got 550's and 1300's and I'm making 385rwhp @ 15psi and still haven't maxed out my injectors. From what I've seen, 850's are too much trouble up front unless Steve Kan is coming to town right after the install. Good luck getting them going. Hopefully it'll work out.

now i'm questioning if my wideband is working. !@#!$@% this gets frustrating.... Plz take a look at my second base map this is wat my map is at now. atm i'm tuning 10psi and i started at the first base map (at top of thread) and my afrs were at high 12s and i increased my inj map and recalc'd to my second base map and i swear that the afrs have changed the smallest amount if any at all. does that seem wrong? or what?
and i also have my inj adjust in setting 3 at : 8k- 124.6 7k -121.1 6k-114.1 5k-109 4k-105.1 3k-103.1 2k-50 1k-50 and 1.0v-50.0 1.5v-100 2v-100 2.5v-103.1 3v-105.9 3.5v-110.2 4v-112.9 4.5v114.8
and i also have my inj adjust in setting 3 at : 8k- 124.6 7k -121.1 6k-114.1 5k-109 4k-105.1 3k-103.1 2k-50 1k-50 and 1.0v-50.0 1.5v-100 2v-100 2.5v-103.1 3v-105.9 3.5v-110.2 4v-112.9 4.5v114.8

For one thing, the wideband is supposed to be mounted from 10:00-2:00 to prevent water from condensating on it and ruining it on heatup...

Innovate is adamant about not positioning the sensor the way you've done. Have you programmed the LC-1 with your laptop correctly and grounded it at the PFC and checked its ground with an ohm meter?
