just installed a power fc
Hi guys, i recently installed my power FC with commander.
My mods :
- K&N filters
- Downpipe
- Greddy SP catback
I am running the base map and i see 13 psi on my boost gauge, i just played a little bit with the commander and found how to ajust the boost settings, now my first boost setting is .80 bar ... something like that
I want to run 10 psi so i'll be safer with the car.
I'm planning on putting my new high flow cat next week, any ajustments to do??
10 psi is like .70 or .65 ??

.79 bar peak? Does it level off to the set .7 bar?
Did you tweak the "Duty" setting along with the max boost value? This will help in adjusting the "speed" that max boost is attained in. If it's too fast it will overshoot the set boost limit causing a spike.
David
PS 11.5 pound boost spike is nothing to get concerned with. My car has been doing worst than that for more than 10 years.

hum, i went in the settings menu and boost, and just put 0.70 on all 4 boost options ( for the 2 settings of boost)
and just test drive it after, and the boost went to .79 - .80 at WOT. On my autometer boost gauge, i see around 13 psi .. not sure which is more accurate ..
Car runs pretty good though.
so, i should be okay with the HF cat?? dont want to run too lean..

The boost gauge is the accurate measurement. PFC gives falsely lower boost readings. Go here http://www.digitaldutch.com/unitconverter/
1 atm = 14.7 psi
1 bar = 14.5 psi
1 kg/cm^2 = 14.2 psi ....... PFC Commander reads boost as kg/cm^2.
Get Datalogit so you can program safelty enhancements: reprogram OMP, fan temps, and pull more timing as intake temps rise. This is not available on Commander.
