Installation Questions
Ok, first of all I search this part of the forum for my answers but didn't find anything. Second, I am not installing, I am not tuning, I am just thinking about purchasing one for my shop to install and dyno tune.
1) Does the PFC take place of your old ECU, or does it go between the two? Know it probly sounds dumb, but didn't know if it is a piggyback, or a standalone (assuming stand alone).
2) What is the physical aspect of the installation? Does the stock wiring harness just plug in there? This is why I am thinking of a PFC, b/c wiring for a microtech would cost me almost $1000. I was told with my single turbo setup, that with the right precautions, it would be alright to go with a Pettit ECU. I sold mine and therefore have no stock ECU, or any ECU in that matter.
If there is anything else I should know about this (especially how much they should charge just to physically install this in my car) please let me know.
Thanks,
Shawn

You need to learn how to use the search function then.
1. The PFC is a standalone, it pretty much fits into the same space as the stock ecu. You can even reuse the stock ecu brackets (with velcro), you just have to saw out a small chunk of the upper bracket to make room for the Commander/Datalogit cable.
2. The stock wiring harnesses just plug right in. That's the whole point of Apexi offering vehicle-specific versions!
There have been many install write-ups and threads in here....

Thanks for answering my questions, but I did search, and I searched this subforum for "wiring" to see if it had to wire into the the stock harness and "install" which just kept stating plug in and go, but didn't know how it was plugged in. Still I really appreciate the reply. I am goin to now search for my other question dealing with single turbo setups.
Thanks
Shawn
