The difference between IGL and IGT is timing split.
If IGL is 30, using a maximum Mazda split of 15, then you would set IGT to 15. 30 - 15 = 15.

30 degrees past TDC is timing retard,
30 degrees before TDC is timing advance.

From the lack of clarity, wording of your post, and
misuse of definitions, I think you have stated/shown
your intelligence level .

"or am i jus an idiot and is that not a problem".

Here, let me translate your question so you can get some help from people that know more than I do. Fill in the blanks so you can get some help...

Esteemed colleagues,

Whilst boosting in 3rd gear recently, I noted via my PFC Commander a disturbing change in my trailing ignition timing. Before this run my trailing timing was _______ at ______rpm and ______ manifold pressure.

If I check my trailing timing setting via my Commander, my timing should be ______ at the same rpm and pressure.

My car won't start and I have done the following maintenance/mods/engine futzing since my 3rd gear run____________.

Good luck!

mmmk my mods are lsited..... and i havent changed any settings for ignition on my pfc since sr sent it to me.. it just died when it happend.... we got out the timing gun and fount our mark was 30 degrees behind the pin u use to line stuff up on the crank wheel... if u want the maps for my ignition i have them... but they are similar if not exact to the ignition for the rx6 turbo in the maps section of the power fc area.... so im jus wondering how one sec it works and the next it doesnt...

I'm going to assume that you checked your engine timing with the light while you were at idle and not at WOT at third gear. If so, the map you are using shows that a 30 degree trailing advance at idle is normal. There are also certain cells at high boost/rpm where 30 degrees is OK.

Is your 30 degree measurement at idle or while you are cranking?

I really doubt timing is your problem.

Which plug of the 4 did you use for your timing light test?

The stock mark on the stock wheel is made is to be used with the #1 rotor trailing plug only.

Check all PFC functions that you can view and change.
Make sure they are what you had before the problem.
That is assumming you had recorded them.
Page 23&24 of the PFC manual, makesure you are on the correct NORMAL or OPTION? as before.

If you go inside the wrong one to look at it, when you get out it is selected as the one to run. Without the special boost control kit, you should be in NORMAL.

Maybe you are just flooded and need to dry it out and use ATF to relube the rotor seals.
