i need a "starter" map for my single
hey guys,
i'm just looking to see if there is any starter maps out there to help me get going in tunning my car...
i would love to have had it tuned by steve kan this last weekend but it wasn't done yet... just wanted to know what to focus on or some beginning tips...
my mods are as fallowed:
gotham racing gr63 single kit
greddy trust fmic (4 in thick)
k2dr secondary fuel rail
550/1600 injectors
walboro 255lph fuel pump
rx7 store mid pipe
apexi gt spec exhaust
koyo rad
plx m-500 wideband
aeromotive fuel pressure reg.
hallman boost controller
apexi bov
apexi power fc w/ commander
also, what about timing? i'm planning on running somewhere between 15-17 psi.
i started the car yesterday. the only thinkg i did was change the injector settings on the commander to 1500. it sounded smooth and responded to the throttle very well.... i ran it for about 2 mins to check for leaks and stuff.. it idled at 1100 rpms.
any help will be greatly appreciated!!! thanks guys

since all cars are different, you should not use anybody else map. The only thing that you could do will be to change your injector size.
Timing is something you have to tune for, especially on a single turbo. You cannot just "plug in" a number.
Get the car dyno tuned, that is your best bet.

If you have a datalogit it is much easier to get a map, anyone with email could send you their .dat file.
If you want starting points for a map they are all over this forum including the stickies at the top. For a starter map all you really need to do is change the injector settings, fix the split, retard timing a bit, and add some fuel. Then with datalogit and a wideband you can tune it yourself.

U lose, do you have an EGT gauge? If not, you will need one, and with your wideband, and you should be able to get it tuned pretty close.
