Help with PFC Idle Settings!!~~~ Halp please!!~~~
I just got a PFC Controller and I was tryin to set my idle setting however I wanted to share with you guys what numbers it was at.... I'm getting some bad idling and I am trying to start trouble shooting from here.
Mine is:
F/C A.E 1070 rpm
F/C E/C 1150 rpm
F/C A/C 1200 rpm
IDLE A.E 900 rpm
IDLE E/L 1000 rpm
IDLE A/C 1080 rpm
Can you guys please tell me what your numbers are at????? Please I am so desparette!!!
The engine I have on this car is a race/street port motor with removed airpump, non-sequential setup, intake, downpipe, stock cat, RB Exhaust......
Can someone with almost the same setting as mine tell me what thier idle settings are at???
Thanks!!!~~~

These not written in stone and can vary depending on mods.
The ISC solenoid is the primary control over idle speeds, but the O2 fuel control if set on can hose the ISC from working well.
It seems that the more modded the engine, the less affective the O2 control is even if the air pump is funtional. Without an air pump, the O2 control must be turned off.
Some modded engines do not idle well with the ISC working. This happened to a freind's race ported engine. He discounted the ISC and used only the two manual throttle adjustments to control idle speed. One fixed speed at about 1000 rpm.
I have a running air pump but with the O2 control turned off. This keeps my rpms from jumping around at idle. I tried many combinations of controls and turning it off was the only working solution for me.
My values are:
F/C A.E 1500 rpm
F/C E/C 1500 rpm
F/C A/C 1500 rpm
IDLE A.E 850 rpm
IDLE E/L 900 rpm
IDLE A/C 1000 rpm
The reason for my high 1500 fuel cut, my ISC reacts too slow sometimes to recover idle when getting off the throttle and the revs would drop too low before recovering. This prevents that for my car. But it does increase backfiring a little.

Hi!!~~ Thanks for helping me out with the PFC Idling adjustments~~ I really apprieciate that!!
I just have some questions and sorry about my stupidity...
Where is the ISC solenoid and can that go bad??
and how do I turn off the O2 control?? from the PFC???
Lastly... I really don't understand what the deceleration idle is (the first three idling settings)... can you briefly explain it to me?

The first three settings tell the computer when to turn the injectors back on ... say your are at 3k rpm and you decide to jump off the throttle, the car will shut off the injectors until the revs fall below the F/C rpm. If your idle is going above this rpm, the car will shut the injectors off until the rpms fall below it again. Raise them up like Chuck has then try adjusting the idle again.

oK.... THIS WORKS!!!~~~
BEHOLD!!~~ Thanks to everyone especially cewrx7r1... I took off the ICS or ISC plug (its a white electrical plug behind the Upper Intake Manifold) and the idle became stable... like 700-800... no ups and downs.... but the throttle response because just a little bit less responsive... why is that?? Now I just mess with the Idle Controll Screw and The wax Screw thingy and things start to work out like a charm!!!
By the way... when I unplug that electrical ICS plug will the idle control on the commander be totally useless??? Anyways... but I don't know how well it will start on cold start...but I will tell you guys what happened...
Thanks to all!!!!

I was told by my tuner that a newly installed PFC will have idle jumping and in about 20% of all the new units. He told me to just drive it for a week until the idle settles. If after a week or so with no improvement, then there might be a vacumn leak. Any other suggestions??
