Is a beta-test version of this available anywhere? I tried the link mentioned earlier in the thread but it returns a file-not-found response. I just got a datalogit and would very much like to take a look at this new software.
Cheers,
Simon.

It would be great if some people could try monitoring and let me know if it works.
(Just click Monitor > Monitor and Play with the Datalogit connected)
There is still a lot of work left, i guess version 1.0 will not be released before the end of the year.
Is here a designer on the board who could make me a nice splash screen?

I'm sorry that the next release is delayed, but i currently don't have as much time to work on FC Tune as i would like to have.
But that doesn't mean that nothing has happened in the last weeks. I've put a lot of work in the charts. Editing is now possible with draging the data points/markers in the charts. Monitoring is also possible in a real time ("live") chart. The Microsoft chart and others lack features, they are meant to display static data. Editing/Selecting is not really possible and they are not fast enough to display about 10 samples/frames per second. Who is using a really slow pc/laptop for tuning and can test if the chart is fast enough also on low end pc's? Anything below 400 MHz?
I have to test which scaling is the best and still fast enough. With 10 samples per second 150 data points would mean a history of 15 seconds. Multiple plots (multiple charts) are also not supported yet.

I've bought a Pocket PC 2003 SE to do some in-car tests. We've got 30 Windows Mobile 5.0 PDAs from HP so i can test it on them as well. Not sure if we still have some PPC 2002, so i may only be able to test FC Tune in the emulator, some thing with the HPC 2000.

FC Tune is not dead and will not be for a decade.
In the future i will add support for more ECUs like Greddy e-manage, HKS FCON etc. Once the app is done it's not that much work to add support for more ECUs. If anyone has a good idea for a name for a software and 'Commander' that supports multiple ECUs please PM me.

FC Tune
First of all, Thanks for your work hard to made FC Tune. It will be a good program for all FC tuner around the world. It is very difficult to find anyone who can join and ask a question from tuner. Tuner have to use this software to tune the engine for high performance with safe and quickly for its. Thanks a lot for your work. And hope to help you to carried out your project as soon as possible to put it out for any people who need it.
I am a tuner from BKK, Thailand. I have had both FC Datalogit and Kashi FC box. Both of them work well. They have had advantage and disadvantage.
Kashi FC box used japanese software , difficult to used due to japanese language. It came from original, it supported the FC ECU.
FC Datalogit used english language that was international. Easy to understand. But FC Datalogit , Map Table and Font could not be changed. It was too small.
I have heard, it has english version for PowerFC. But it used by PowerFC dealer only. One guy in BKK get it from somewhere. I also need english version for my tunning job. That is a good new, I found you on internet. Your software can used for all FC interface boxes. I hope you can finish your interface box with additional drag function for all car.
FastHatch , I have done many car fiitted with PowerFC ECU such as 1JZGTE, 2JZGTE, 3SGTE , SR20DET , RB26DETT. If you would like me to test your software, do not hesitate to contact me at
pom_vr2@hotmail.com.
1 Question, I have installed your FC Tune 0.53 on WinXP. I found the data could not show any as the attached picture. Is it my problem or from your test program, pls verify.

In "Channel setup" dialog under monitor (already available in version 0.53) can you can set a min and max value, min is 0% and max 100%. If only one channel is on the graph the values are scaled by the min and max values.
The color of the channels can also be set in the "channel setup" dialog. The legend (on the bottom|top|left|right) can be hidden and then the channels in the channel-window are drawn in the selected color.
In the above screenshot 50 samples/data points are on "one page" of the graph, that means with a sample rate of 10 samples per second you've a history of 5 seconds. I don't know if that is enough during monitoring. On the other side, the more samples on the graph, the worse the resolution. Maybe 5 pixel per sample is ok and then it auto-scales by the window size.
i'm also experiencing with the +/- keys to zoom in and out.
Also not yet implemented is an "axis marker" which can be dragged around and the values of the selected sample/data point are displayed in the other monitor windows.
As you can see a lot work has still to be done, but in-car tests will start soon.

Feel free to hit me up when you have a decent running PPC version and I will try it out, I wouldn't worry to much about changing it for PPC2000 right now. There are some GAPI's out there that will run 2002 and 2003 progs, I would think for the most part it will be able to handle it. As far as layout, I can use virtual display to rotate the screen for starters.

With as many low cost laptops that are available, why not use one as the gauge cluster. I have been thinking about how I could do this with the commander connection that comes out of the datalogit. This way I could customize the gauge cluster with whatever information I feel is important. Also would all me to have a real temperature gauge and display boost on the cluster. Why not have a customizable screen with sensor outputs that could be used as a gauge cluster. It would be much cheaper than using anything else that is currently out there now ie defi, stack, sdl. Let me know if this would be possible.
Thanks

Looks like this is progressing nicely, FastHatch!
I have just finished building my own interface box, so I could try out FC Tune for myself, but it seems my car (MR2, 3S-GTE) is not currently supported. Still, FC Edit is still a good step up from the hand controller.
Is there any info people like me can provide to assist in adding support for more vehicles?
