anybody know of any trade secrets to getting the datalogit cd to load up w/o problems? it seems that the label that place on it is too thick or it heats up and makes the cd warp or something. it wont load up in my laptop w/o rubbing against the top of the cd-rom tray. this is pissing me off. . . my original cd broke during my "inspection" and im having to borrow a buddy's. i was thinking about putting it in the refrigerator or something. . . it seems to work better when its cold and i assume flatter.

whatever. . . im sure this is just a rant.

I bought a used datalogit and have been sending e-mails to datalogit for more the a month, but they dont answer anything I send. I dont know if they all died are just dont care about customer service, but I cant wait forever. Can someone help me update my software while I wait for Datalogit to fix their customer service proplems?

 

If you bought a Datalogit used, why didn't the person give you the CD?

 

I zipped the install CD but it is still 5708KB, a zipped FC-EDIT version is 200KB.

PM me your private e-maill and I will try to send them to you.

If the 5708KB is too big, I could try sending it in pieces.

they should really put the original cd file in the files section of the yahoo group forum. . . that would remove some of this stress. . . i mean, everyone there is a member so, why not???

On the datalogit thing, if you need a *.ISO image created, I could do that and send it to you so you could burn a new CD.

 

brian, im not too sure that i have the dyno chart anymore. . . i only hit 347 rwhp with that sorry turbo. i have since upgraded to a 60-1 and will NOW attempt 400rwhp. . . which shouldnt be a problem.

as far as the datalogit thing goes. . . i have NO idea what that *.ISO image thing is, but i do need the disc. if you could enlighten me and make all that available to me i would be forever in debt to you.

the iso image is basically the CD compressed into ONE file on your computer ...

you'll have to burn that ISO to a cd in order to use it though ...

its mainly for people who only have one CD drive on the compter (CDRW)
it allows you to copy the cd into the ISO image, and then put a blank cd into the same drive (after you copy the original of course), and then copy the ISO image to the blank cd

i have a GMAIL account which has s gig of space .. if you want one of these dudes to send the ISO or zipped up program they can try to send it to my email, and then i can burn it to a new CD

i just got my email from chuck. . . thanks again, chuck!!!! . . . i installed all those files, but i cant install the latest version on the group site. i can download version 1.100 on the site, but it wont let me download version 1.101 from the site. is there a reason for this??? is it cause of my not having the the EXACT cd version or is it the site having genuine trouble? anybody else have this problem?

I just went there from my work computer and was able to download the 1.101 zip to my PC. The exact CD version of the initial setup is not important.

Paul, I have this software on a laptop if it can help you or Dustin.
It is v1.100 but you can up the version.
I can't use it with my setup.
