Easier way to start?????

Rebuilt engine running with the PFC base map.

Half bridge port engine and the compression is low since I rebuilt it with all new seals and housings, it bump starts fine and has been ticking over for just over an hour at 1800rpm, when trying from the key it nearly gets going but there just isn't enough there to start it.

Has anyone changed the settings to help it start easier?? i.e ignition timing.

Search here about running no ISC for direct idle control. You can search on my post also.

There is no cranking speed adjustment. There is only battery voltage through wires through the starter motor. Make sure your battery is in good condition.
Check all the cable connections and ground points. You could take the starter apart, clean it including the armature, re lube and reassemble.

I mean advancing the timing a bit to get it to burn better.

As I prevously stated, direct idle control by not using the ISC.
Also look for my post about the water temperature table that reduces timing when the engine is cold.
