Disable O2 f/b Sensor Control

There is an option on the power fc to disable the oxygen sensor control. I have just begun to play with it and so far I like the throttle response better, especially coming off the throttle. Obvious reasons not to do it would be reduced gas milelage. Anyone out there have any experiences with this?

I never run with the feedback turned on. I don't have an airpump or any emissions anyway, so I don't think it can really work even if I wanted it to

If you look at the fuel and timing maps you can see the area where it runs in closed loop. Chuck had posted some maps some time back that smooth out these sections of the map. When you disable the 02 it reads from the maps, so changing them should have some effect. When you enable the 02 it mostly determines fuel based on the sensor, and does not read the maps - which may be why they don't looked tuned in the default config.

Anyway, you probably already knew this.

Are you saying with the sensor enabled, the 20x20 maps are ignored? If that's the case, if I disabled the O2 feedback, would it make a difference in power delivery, since neglecting the signal? I have always been running on O2 feedback, even at the track and didn't know of its effect on power delivery. Could this be the cause of my slow 1/4 mile times?

Also, when tuning the PFC, I now imagine it would be best to tune the maps with O2 feedback off. Is this correct?

Yes the maps are ignored ONLY when under light throttle and cruising. I noticed a difference in throttle response while cruising, especially coming off the throttle....it doesnt seem to cut fuel as early. I've been tuning the light throttle portions of my map and have noticed decreased turbo lag (non sequential setup) from richening the map, therefore making the car feel more powerfull.
So No, I dont think it is the reason for your 1/4 mile times. Both the PFC and stock computers ignore the o2 sensor durring high load conditions.

I tune with both the airpump, and the o2 control OFF.
