Dead power FC :(
A friend of mine bought a 93-95 Power FC with no commander off ebay. When he got it, he was using the datalogit and cables for it. The power FC is recognized by the computer and maps can be loaded. However you can not start the car! I have not checked if its fuel or spark, but the car runs fine on a stock ECU and a new power FC, so its not wiring/engine problems.
Other then checking for the above, is there anything else I can do?
I would hate to scrap a power fc

Bad PFC's are VERY rare - it's pretty hard to blow one up.
PFC's are more sensitive to the crank trigger than the stock ECU - the gap between the front pulley wheel and the crank angle sensors has to be just right for the PFC to get a tach signal.
It's also possible the PFC has a different map loaded in it that's WAY off, like large primaries and a different MAP sesnor. This would cause bigtime starting problems.
It's funny he has a Datalogit and no commander . One thing that would work for troubleshooting, I think you can view RPM's on the commander while cranking. That could help pinpoint a crank trigger problem if you can get your hands on a commander.
Might also be worth finding someone nearby you with a PFC/commander that will let you swap that PFC into their car and see if it works there. Could be worth a post in the NW forum.
