Datalogit???
I just bought a PFC (new). Do I need a Datalogit to tune the PFC??? Or is it just pre-made maps to start with?
I'm so lost.... I searched threw this forum, and nothing really answered this.
Sorry for the stupid question

Well, you should have it tuned but the PFC does come with ignition and fuel for a few mods. I believe it a catback, intake, and maybe IC but assumes both cats in place. The Datalogit will give you full access to all perameters and there is lots of reading you can do to possibly figure it out yourself. This, of course, comes with the possibility that you will kill you motor but many people have done it themselves. One more question, did you buy your PFC stock or from a dealer who tuned it some for your stated mods? Also, as a side note, I like having the commander too but not required for tuning with datalogit.

I bought it new off of ebay, it didn't come with any kind of tuning if that was what you were asking?
And I'm going to take it to a local customs shop that said they would tun it, and have it done there, because I have no idea how to do it (safely...)I'll watch them, read the manual... And I was searching (still am) But most of the information seems to be far from the basics..... Or I'm just horrible at searching.
Also, does anyone know of a more reputable shop in the SE that would tune a PFC??? Maybe in Hotlanta??? Seems like there would be someone there. I would be willing to pay more/drive farther if I know it is someone good....

Try P1 Auto in Kershaw, SC. They are hopefully soon going to be an authorized PowerFC Excel dealer, if they aren't already. In the meantime, they know all about PFCs and rotaries, and they have a Mustang dyno which is a lot better than a dynojet (though your horsepower will read lower)...
