Question A couple of questions

When I adjust desired boost setting and solenoid cycle am I doing anything or do I need the "boost control kit"? When looking at this screen I see there's a 1 and a 2 both have a "pr/sec." setting followed by a wastegate solenoid duty cycle setting to the right

both of mine are set to .70-56%

my question is, do the 1 and 2 signify turbo 1 and turbo 2 or do they signify base and target settings for both turbos?

I've read about split timing (forgive me I know this should probably be in a different place, I've done as much searching as I can) and there's lots of talk about a split timing map....My question is, where is this split map on the PFC? As I type that I feel like I may be misunderstanding rotary timing altogether...

You can adjust turbo 1s boost, and 2s (1 + 2) boost to be different.
That is what the two settings are for.

The PFC Commander does not show split.
You will have to calculate it as: IGL cell (x,y) - IGT cell(x,y).
Get a Datalogit and it allows SPLIT mode when viewing IGT.

The "Pr" value for boost control controls the precontrol valve (Primary turbo only), before turbo transition. The "Sc" value controls the wastegate valve, after turbo transition (Primary + Secondary turbo). Turbo transition can be adjusted based on rpm and throttle position using the Datalogit software.

Adjusting the boost control settings isn't completely intuitive, but then again most electronic boost controllers aren't. Think of the "boost" setting as a coarse adjustment and the "duty" setting as a fine adjustment. Increasing either of the settings should raise your boost normally, but sometimes you have to go back and forth between the two a little bit. Having a Datalogit allows you to take logs of the boost pressure, boost control solenoid duty cycles, and turbo transition so that you can more precisely tune the boost control.

Sequential turbo boost control has been discussed in the Power FC Yahoo tuning group and notes.
