Confirmation on Using 1600cc Injectors w/ PFC
OK, so I did some searching and reading and I wanted to make sure I understood I read.
I know about the equipment necessary to run the 1600cc injectors, the resistors, etc.
I also read the the commander will only go up to 1500cc. My understanding is that this is ok, however, the car will run richer, because of the fact that the injectors are larger than what the ECU is anticipating. Is that correct?
In light of that, the only way to properly tune is with a wideband 02 (and possibly a datalogit). Is that correct?

Hey, a fellow North Carolinian.
You should be fine to make the drive. Just turn your boost all the way down and granny it. Probably not completely necessary, but it's the safest thing to do until you get a peek at the AFRs. Who are you planning on having do the tuning?

I am planning on taking it down to Rotorsports in Kannapolis. I live in Raleigh, so it probably wouldnt be a full 3 hour drive.
I hadnt planned on getting a datalogit right away, but it may be the smart thing to do.
From your sig you have one nice FD, have you ever made it out to any of our raleigh meets?

Yeah, Bryan's a good guy at Rotorsports. He built my engine and installed my turbos. I just had trouble meeting back up with him to get the tuning side done, since he doesn't have a dyno on site. I ultimately did my dyno tuning at P1 Auto in Kershaw, SC. Not that far beyond Charlotte, and they have a mustang dyno which is quite a bit more impressive than the dynojets. Plus Jack really knows PFCs and has owned rotaries (but they don't have a datalogit), and Bob's a great guy too...
But I'm sure I'm telling you things you already know if you're part of msccnc. I spend time on their forum, but I only made it to one of the meets in Raleigh. Ended up being too long of a drive and not worth battling Friday traffic.... Good luck with your tuning!
