All cars are different, so I doubt anyone would be able to tell you for sure. It might be best just to try it and see what happens while keeping a close eye on the boost gauge. Let off if the boost goes too high, of course.
One problem people have is boost creep. Boost creep has the symptoms of the boost rising uncontrollably under load in high gears (highway in 4th or 5th gear, usually). People often incorrectly assume that a different boost controller can fix this. But the boost controller is probably holding the wastegate fully open, so changing the boost controller will have zero effect. The problem is that the stock wastegate (even when fully open) cannot flow enough to keep the boost at the right level under these conditions. The possible solutions are porting the stock wastegate, or adding some restriction (such as a plate with a smaller-than-3" hole in it between two of the exhaust components) to the exhaust. I am sure a search for "boost creep" would turn up some good info.

Thats where I got mine, too.
I don't put much stock in any "mail order" tuning, though. Not that Ray doesn't know what he is doing or anything, I just don't think it is possible for anyone to tune maps without wideband testing on the actual car the PowerFC will be installed in. A "pre-tuned" system should be setup to be safe, though, so you will probably be fine until you can get it tuned on your car. There are no guarantees, though -- be careful anyway. Tuning is usually the cheapest HP you can buy, and it also verifies the safety of your system for good reliability. Spending some money to get the car dyno tuned or taking the plunge with a Datalogit and your own wideband is the best way to maximize power and protect your investment.

I dont put any faith in mail order tuning either. But I do think its good you got a PFC.
Here is my advise....dont fight the boost spikes, who cares if the boost spikes. Just make sure you have enough fuel and supporting mods to cover them. You cant resist them, they are too much fun haha

I just finished up my power adders with a resonated midpipe. The PFC is pretty good at controlling boost ... at least here in central Texas. I do notice that the boost climbs into 14's and 15's when the temp drops below 50 (which is not too often). But aside from that, boost is fairly consistent. My fuel maps are very rich though ... so, like Stephen, I welcome the boost spikes!
