Busted PowerFC
Just a quick question. Has anyone ever started the car and the PowerFC stay on the screen that says 'Apexi' instead of going through it's little warmup stage? That happened to me once before, and my tuner said the PowerFC was shot, so I sent them both back to Apexi. They have since been replaced under warranty and I am getting two brand new ones. Before I install one I am going to tear through the wiring to check for any shorts or open wires. Just curious if that happened to anyone else, or anyone has any idea what it could be. Thanks
Mike

this was a known issue when using the wrong hand controller version for the powerfc.
such as using the older say nissan sr20 hand controller on a rx7 13b powerfc.
the newer powerfc and hand controller kits come as one bundle and you need to use 499-a001 now for the hand controller version. but in your case where it has been working fine for some time and then died i have no idea

By hand controller I assume you mean the commander. I had an older PowerFC and the two worked fine. That one fried, so I got a new one and the new one doesn't work. Brand spanking new. I'm going to check the numbers now. Thanks for the help. Would this cause the PowerFC to not work, or just the commander? My car just cranks, no start, and the commander is stuck on that screen. Thanks
