Are The Base Maps Burned On The Rom Chip In The Pfc
hey all, i got a pfc from AP Engineering and i was told that they make maps for the 2nd gen FC , my ? is if they have a map for the 2nd gen, could i just reset the PFC and pick the base map up for the FD tha was originally there or do i have to send the pfc to lik XS or power exel shops, they want to charge me $150 to do would much rather do it myself if i can

I have read your post 10 times but i still don't understand what your question is, but i try to answer.
A copy of the original calibration/base maps is stored in the ROM within the CPU. That is the calibration that will be written to the nvRAM/EPROM when you select Init Data.
So if you reset the PFC (don't forget to switch off and on the ignition) you should be able to read the factory maps from AP Engineering. But it is also possible that the Apexi maps are in the ROM and they just upload their maps into the EPROM.

Dude, you need to sell that thing and get a proper PFC. You have no idea what modifications have been done to it by AP and it could cost you a motor discovering them.
You shouldn't have that big of a problem selling it and it will be a lot safer and less stressful for you to just have the correct PFC.

I R SAD PANDA W/O BAW
I have an AP engineering PFC on my FC and with my mods (big hybrid, 1000cc secondaries and all supporting mods) it runs very lean on the PFC base map monitored on a Motec wideband compared to my stock ECU. I'm not even sure if you can use it for an FD, you may be able to. I had to use an FD map sensor and air intake temp sensor to get mine to work on my car but the timing and fuel maps could be radically different. If I were you I'd sell it and get the correct FD PFC as said above.
