Bad knock sensor?
ok in a recent post i was asking about exhaust overheat light flashing on hard acceleration since i installed new pfc in my jdm fd. i'm very new to the pfc & am learning more every day. a member advised me to check my knock reading & if over 60 this is probably the cause of flashing light. my reading is as high as 76-78. does this sound like a bad sensor or should i be looking elsewhere? i know i've read about false readings before due to sensors being ''noisy''. basic bolt on mods intake/exhaust/v-mount. always run high octane fuel. any advise from the gurus would be great thanks

Do a visual on the sensor and if you see it dripping something like dark orange/brwon crap, then it is bad.
Observe your commander for knock values while doing ordinary driving as drive train slop and noisy suspension can cause FAKE KNOCK.
