is this bad?

i opened my box up and noticed that there is a wire wrapped around all the others does anyone know if its suppoed to be like this or what?

You did not tell us it wasn't working. Have you swapped with another DL box to test it out to insure it is your box that is the problem?

OR

The two times that I had problems with mine not working, it was due to the serial cable between the box and laptop.

No i cant find anyone in my area with one.Can i get one of those cables in a RadioShack or anything like that?

u can get a PS2 cable and cut one of the pins...

interface

Well everytime i try and use it it says interface not responding and then throws up an error code 76 (i think).

When my cables were bad, I only got the 'not responding' error.

If it use to work and does not now, then most likely it is the cable.
If it never worked, you might be missing some standard DLLs as one owner found out on his laptop with an old version of WIndows 98.

Well i guess i will lug out my desktop computer tommarow and see if that works...But if it doesnt then i will order a new cable then.
